Marriage is like a intricate tapestry, woven together by two hearts and guided by the hand of the Lord. Without His divine influence, this sacred bond wouldn’t be as powerful or enduring. When a husband and wife come together in unity, it’s a beautiful reflection of God’s love and grace. While some may attempt to navigate the complexities of marriage without His guidance, it’s like trying to sail a ship without a compass – challenging and uncertain. By incorporating these 7 essential practices, inspired by the wisdom of the Almighty, you’re laying a solid groundwork for a godly marriage that not only survives but thrives. While there are countless ways to nurture your relationship, focusing on these foundational principles will help strengthen your bond and create a lasting legacy of love. Let’s embark on this journey together and build a marriage that stands the test of time!

1. Pray together daily

“Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” – Mark 10:9

Imagine a triangle, where the closer you and your spouse draw to the Lord, the closer you become to each other. When it comes to decision-making, the most important partnership is between God and your spouse. Cutting God out of the equation can lead to a downward spiral. It’s easy to start veering off course and rely on our own or others’ opinions, especially from extended family. Instead of letting external voices guide you, prioritize listening to what God has in store for your marriage. He knows what’s best for you both, and by seeking His guidance together, you’ll strengthen your bond and build a solid foundation for a thriving relationship.

2. Communicate openly and honestly

“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:11

Effective communication is like a key that unlocks trust and strengthens your bond. By sharing openly and honestly, you’re laying the groundwork for a godly relationship that’s built on transparency and understanding. Cultivating a friendship rooted in trust is essential for weathering any storm that comes your way. The way you speak to each other matters deeply – are your words filled with grace and mercy? In moments of difficulty, approaching conversations with kindness and understanding can make all the difference. When you prioritize open communication, you create a safe space where you can navigate challenges together with love and respect.

3. Serve one another selflessly

“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” – Mark 10:45

In marriage, serving each other is about going the extra mile to show love and appreciation in unexpected ways. It’s not just about traditional roles, but about expressing care and thoughtfulness through simple gestures. If you’re looking to donate and spread kindness, consider joining a “mommy group” on Facebook to find other moms who could benefit from your items! This can help you quickly eliminate clutter. For those in need of some extra cash while tidying up, I recommend selling items on platforms like Poshmark or Mercari. Another option is to host a garage sale and then donate unsold items to local shops or churches that support community outreach programs.

Step 3: Implement Storage Space Solutions

Once you’ve decluttered and organized your belongings, it’s time to implement storage solutions to keep things in order. Invest in storage bins, baskets, shelves, and organizers to maximize your space and create designated spots for everything. Utilize vertical storage for your under-bed storage, and utilize closet organizers to make the most of your space and keep clutter away. I found these amazing storage bins on Amazon and it made a world of difference for keeping my kitchen and bathroom sinks clutter free! Labeling was so helpful especially when organizing the bathroom , laundry and even closet space! I highly recommend to label and if you don’t want your home looking totally like a storage facility , add some personality by getting some cute decor storage boxes with your favorite colors or theme! I enjoy a good cleaning but also being in a space that feels like home too!

Step 4: Create Productive Daily Habits

To maintain a tidy and organized living space, create daily habits that help you stay on top of clutter. Set aside a few minutes each day to tidy up, put things back in their designated spots, and declutter surfaces. Encourage your kids to help out with age-appropriate chores to instill a sense of responsibility and teamwork. By adding these daily habits into your routine, you’ll prevent clutter from piling up and ensure that your home remains a peaceful and efficient space for your family.

Step 5: Simplicity over Clutter

Life has been a wild roller coaster ride for my family and me, but I am grateful to God for guiding us through every hurdle and challenge. This season has truly tested our faith, and I am filled with gratitude for God’s constant grace and mercy that has been showered upon our family. I have experienced major events within a short span of time – welcoming our 3rd baby boy last September and making the tough decision to close our studio. Despite the challenges, closing the studio turned out to be one of the best decisions my husband and I could have made as we discovered new talents that God has blessed us with to bless others. While the studio will always hold a special place in our hearts, I am excited to share that my family and I are embarking on a new journey what do you want?

As I navigate through the healing process from past hurts, this new endeavor brings me immense joy and peace as it allows me to express myself and offer encouragement to other stay-at-home moms. Being a stay-at-home mom for almost 5 years now, I have gained wisdom and believe that now is the time for me to offer insights to moms who are seeking to reconnect with their faith, find their purpose, enjoy nurturing themselves, and indulge in the things they love while glorifying God.

I officially shifted my focus as a Lifestyle Mommy Blogger and Content Creator, centering on faith, SAHM life, routine living, hair growth, and modest fashion. These topics hold significant meaning in my life, and I hope that as you join me on this journey, you will understand why they resonate with me. As a mom of three boys under 5, I definitely have my moments of feeling that way. I’m here to remind you to close your eyes, take a deep breath and remember to be still and know that God is with you! It’s all part of the motherhood journey, but we can take control and not let it consume us, leading to more stress and anxiety. As the nurturers of our homes, when we lack structure and a healthy outlet, our whole family feels the impact.

Creating a Family-Friendly Routine

Having a solid routine in place is key, right? But figuring out what that routine should look like can be daunting! Where do you even start? How do you create a schedule that works best for your family? These questions can be overwhelming and might even prevent us from getting started.

I want to share a solution that has worked for me through trial and error, and I’m still learning along the way. I’ve experienced firsthand the negative impact of not having a schedule in place, and it was tough on our family. But I had a turning point. I always knew we needed a schedule, but I struggled to figure out where to begin. I’d put something together haphazardly, and while it showed promise, it never lasted. So, what did I do differently? Your SAHM schedule may differ from mine, and that’s totally fine. In my bustling household, I juggle energetic little boys, a newborn, and two toddlers under five. Without a set SAHM schedule, things can get hectic – the kids get wild, struggle with sleep, become picky eaters, and our home becomes a mess. When planning your SAH schedule, always prioritize what’s best for your family. This analogy can serve as a valuable starting point for both stay-at-home moms and working moms striving to craft the ideal family schedule.

How to maintain your daily routine schedule

Adjusting to a well-structured SAHM schedule may seem daunting, but fear not, mama! Give yourself time – it could take a week or a month to fully adapt, so be patient and remain consistent for 21-30 days.

To effortlessly maintain your SAH schedule, consider these helpful pointers:

First,Display your schedule for all to see, maybe as a Family Schedule Board, adding a sprinkle of fun and engagement to the mix.

Next, Set timely alarms on your phone to smoothly transition between activities and ensure everyone sticks to the schedule.

Lastly, take a deep breath , if you get off track, and show yourself and your family kindness and understanding. Challenges are normal during this adjustment phase, but with practice, things will fall into place.

Remember, you’re not alone on this journey – many SAHMs encounter similar hurdles. Keep pushing forward; you’re doing an incredible job!

Quick and Easy Hair Wash Routine

Hello! Are you embracing your natural look and tired of feeling defeated during your wash day routine? I’m here to help! As a stay-at-home mom with thick, curly hair and limited time, I had to find an easy and efficient way to wash my hair while taking care of my three energetic boys, all under the age of five. Let’s dive into it!

My Step by step Hair Wash Routine:

Step 1:The day before, I apply my favorite hair growth oil to my scalp.

I use a homemade hair mask that promotes hydrated curls and growth.
Using a wide-tooth comb of your choose however here are some wide tooth combs recommended, I divide my hair into four sections.

Step 2: I run warm water (never hot) over my hair for about 20 seconds to open my hair follicle pores.

Step 3:Next, I apply my must-have Canvas Beauty hair follicle booster, infused with peppermint and tea tree oil.

Step 4: I follow up with the co-designed Canvas Beauty shampoo (cherry blossom), which smells heavenly. I rinse with cool water and give myself a scalp massage with my scalp massager while washing.

Step 5:

Then, I use the co-designed Canvas Beauty conditioner (smells amazing too!) and rinse with cold water to seal in all the nutrients.

Step 6:

I gently pat and squeeze dry my hair (never rub, as it can cause damage).

Step 7:

For styling, I use one of my favorite curl enhancer hair smoothies which leaves a residue-free finish and smells divine.
I style my hair in small or medium twists, using the curl enhancer to define my curls. I also apply pure coconut oil to the ends and a small amount of avocado oil to the roots.

Step 8:
Let it air dry (to avoid heat damage) and natural volume and then wrap it with a silk hair cap every time you lay down (yes even during nap time too!

There you have it, my 8-step routine for washing my all-natural hair! I typically wash my hair 2-3 times a week and have noticed that since increasing the frequency, my scalp is cleaner and more hydrated. My hair products also work more effectively because my hair follicles are no longer clogged. It’s a refreshing routine, and finding the right products for your natural hair is crucial. BREAKING NEWS!

JESUS CHRIST HAS RISEN!

I can only imagine how excited and in awe those who first witnessed Jesus no longer being in the tomb! The instant joy they felt not to see Him lying there no more!

It’s more than just a one-day celebration! What the world refers to today is Easter, a day with cute bunnies and colorful eggs and a picture-taking day with our little ones. Families may dress in their “Sundays Best,” eat good food, spend time with family, and pack the churches out on this special day.

For believers, this day goes far beyond just those festivities. We celebrate what we call Resurrection Sunday! This Good New’s is life-changing; it brings hope and gives all who believe a new life through Jesus because of what He did for the world on the cross.

Can I be honest with you?

Every day should be a celebration of this Good News we have received!

It is a privilege to share the Gospel because if it wasn’t for Jesus dying on the cross and conquering death by raising three days later. WE ALL WOULD BE DOOMED! There will be no point in living this life because nothing we could do would change our ending; it’ll be depressing and hopeless. BUT GLORY TO GOD ALMIGHTY FOR ALREADY HAVING A PLAN FOR US! We can now live a life full of purpose and joy through Him because of Jesus’s perfect life, power, and obedience to be a sacrifice for our sins! He has conquered death and took the sting out of it too!
Glory to God!

O , death, where is your sting? O, Grave, where is your victory?
1 Corinthians 15:55

What He endured on the cross was simply because of the unconditional love He first had for us. He paid a considerable price that not even the wealthiest person on the planet can afford! Jesus took care of the world’s sin debt, and now we can live in newness through our decision to follow Jesus, which results in us having eternal life if only we believe in Him. (Romans 10:9)

IT IS FINISHED!

And after making this decision, we now have access to the same power that rose Jesus from the grave.

HIS HOLY SPIRIT.

Who is alive and dwelling in us believers today. He is our Helper, as we so earnestly wait for our Savior to return! We have a life now because of Jesus giving up His life, no longer in darkness and brought into His marvelous light.

What a beautiful life we can now live knowing that our King Jesus is alive and victorious, and we have victory through Him, for He has won the battle!

Doesn’t it feel good to be on the winning team?

I can not help but praise God every single day and give Him glory for His master plan He had for us long before the world was formed! This is the best gift we can ever receive! Thankyou Lord for your new mercy and grace each day towards us!

Finding Strength in the Lord as a Stay-at-Home Mom

As a stay-at-home mom, facing sleepless nights and endless demands can be challenging. However, it is possible to stay strong in the Lord even amidst chaos.

Nurturing Strength in the Midst of Chaos

During those early morning wake-ups with a teething toddler and feeling exhausted and frustrated, remember that you can find strength in the Lord to navigate through these tough moments.

Embracing the Struggles and Rewards

As a stay-at-home mom, I understand the struggles and sacrifices that come with the job. While it may not always be easy, the rewards are truly fulfilling. Choosing to stay home with my son has been the best decision I’ve ever made, allowing me to witness his milestones and be there for him in ways I couldn’t while working full-time.

Encouragement for All Moms

Whether you’re a working mom or a stay-at-home mom, know that your challenges are seen and understood. I pray for your strength in the Lord as you navigate through your daily responsibilities. Remember that you are strong, capable, and loved. Stay strong in the Lord, mama!

Can anyone relate to this reality?

Being a stay-at-home mom is one of the best decisions I have made, regardless of all the sleepless nights. No, it is not easy and, yes, it is a full-time “job,” but it is worth it. I will forever cherish moments of witnessing my son reaching milestones and being available for him. At one point, it was not always like this. During his first five months of life, I worked full time, trying to breastfeed and run a dance studio. I couldn’t handle the high demands of working full time and was always physically, mentally, and emotionally drained. So I decided to stay home literally a few months before the pandemic had begun.! So, I applaud the moms who have to work full time to take care of their babies and sacrifice. All moms out there, I am praying for your strength!

Feeling drained and exhausted, struggling to keep up with life’s demands? Whether you’re balancing school, work, or just trying to maintain some sense of order, remember this – you are not alone! Take heart and find strength in the Lord, who knows you inside and out and is always by your side to lift you up. Be strong in the Lord and let His unwavering support guide you through each day. You’ve got this, mama!

We each have our unique experiences, but one thing we can all connect with is the challenge of navigating through the exhaustion brought on by the pandemic. It requires a resilience that surpasses our own, a strength in the Lord that empowers us to withstand the pressures and fears that surround us. Stay strong in the Lord, find encouragement in His presence, and let His strength guide you through this season.

The normal way for our children to interact with others shifted…

The survival mode became more of reality for many around the world…

None of us could have predicted these difficult times. As a nation, we were caught off guard by sudden job losses, financial struggles, the loss of loved ones, and the challenges of wearing masks and maintaining distance from others. Balancing the demands of everyday life for our children amidst all this chaos can be truly exhausting. But it’s during these trying times that we need to find our inner strength, not relying solely on ourselves.

In times like these, I find inspiration in Philippians 4:13. The author, Paul, a man who faced his own share of trials, reminds us that we can conquer all things through Christ’s strength, not our own. Jesus is our beacon of light in the darkest times, our rock when we are weak, and our anchor in times of despair. Knowing Jesus personally is a privilege that fills us with hope and strength.

Isaiah 40:31 assures us that those who place their hope in the Lord will find renewed strength. With Jesus as our source of hope, we can soar through challenges like eagles, run without growing weary, and walk without fainting. No matter the circumstances we face, Jesus is our unwavering source of strength and hope. Let’s hold onto this truth and rise above our difficulties with faith and resilience.

Jesus is the light in our darkness, our strength in our weakness, and our hope in hopelessness.

What a privilege it is to know Jesus for yourself.!

” Those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
Isaiah 40:31

Jesus is our hope and the very source of where our strength comes from no matter what our situations may look like! In our hope, He renews our strength and, therefore, we can overcome anything and soar like an eagle through our difficulties!

Finding lasting strength in the Lord is essential. He is eternal, unwavering, and never fails. Even on the toughest days, it’s normal to feel like we don’t have it all together. Remember, you are not alone. Instead of giving up in challenging times, it’s an opportunity to draw closer to God like never before.

As women of God, let’s pause and acknowledge His strength, wisdom, and ability to work in our weakness. Nothing is impossible for Him. To all the weary and exhausted mothers, wives, and hardworking women out there, know that God is by your side, providing you with new grace, mercy, and strength each day. Stay strong in the Lord, for His power is limitless and His love never-ending.!

To all the tired and exhausted mommy’s, wives, and overall hardworking women, God has you and is with you, giving you His new grace, mercy, and strength daily!

Constant struggle weighs us down, struggle no longer and seek His strength and restoration.

Struggling constantly can weigh us down. To break free from this struggle, we must seek the strength and restoration that comes from the Lord. Jesus offers us restoration, a new perspective, focus, and unbreakable strength. We are part of a winning team that will never crumble, with God as our head coach. Remembering this truth fills me with hope, joy, and comfort, and I hope it does the same for you.

Live each day in the strength and freedom that the Lord provides. He will help you navigate through the tough days ahead.

Let’s pray together:

“Lord, I praise You as my primary source of daily strength. I will not worry about the challenges I face. Please guide me through these tough times to rely on Your strength, not my own. I am ready to walk in Your eternal power each day, conquering every battle that comes my way through You. Amen.”
